Well, I had time today to turn the grips for the "Switch rod". Here are a few photos of what I have done. It was a challenge and I had to modify my lathe to accept this task. I think this rod will be loved by some and hated by others. From the start I assumed the rod would be pretty stiff at the butt section, but after having the grip assembly finished and flex testing the rod... this will be a full flex switch rod. At first look I would rate it as a 5/6/7wt. I think this will be a fun rod. I posted more photos on facebook.
