8'3" 6/7wt Fiberglass Rod SOLD
SOLD Finished and ready for a new home. This is one of the newest tapers I have, 6/7wt 8'3" 4 Piece Yellow Glass fiberglass. This new blank taper was made by Mcfarland, the taper is very similar to the 8ft yellow glass (progressive medium fast action, soft tipped), with just a bit more backbone and some added length. This new taper is cross weighted as a 6/7wt, I recommend a 6wt DT and a 7wt WF. Great rod for big trout and smallies. Bit small for large mouth or steelies.
Specs: Reel seat is a blued nickel up lock, with maple burl wood insert (By Joel Lemke), Flor grade modified full wells, with a one inch fighting butt. Titanium carbide snakes, and tip top. Minima stripping guide. Wrapped in yellow silk, tipped antique gold (which I think is a good match to the wood insert). Mid -stream grade rod (complete tipping, without agate guide). .
