TnT Heirloom 8ft 5wt 3pc

Finished this rod a few days ago. Thomas and Thomas Heirloom Fiberglass 8ft 5wt 3pc. I tried to show some respect to the original Heirloom series with this rod, regarding the up locking seat and reverse halfwells grip (almost a western). I think you will see some TnT influence in the next few Heirloom builds I make.

I wrapped this rod in spring green YLI silk, and after varnish it has a nice translucent look. Tipped the rod at winding check and ferrules with white silk to pick up the white in the agate stripping guide. All snakes and tip top are titanium. All other hardware is blued nickel. Very simply build, and classic. More photos on facebook.

I will be asking $600 as an introductory price for these rods. This one and the other I have are not for sale yet, as I want to bring them with me to the fly fishing show. If you would like to reserve this rod, please give me a call (517-902-3158 or email me)and we can work something out.

Starting a New Week

Starting the week with a couple of Kabuto Builds (663-3 and 805-3). And a TnT Heirloom 764-3 build tossed in for contrast. I have a few rods finished last week and sending them out to waiting clients. Also trying to hold on to a few builds for the upcoming show in March.
